beautiful january weather

farm day saturday...of course! the weather was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. yesterday so we had to take advantage of it! we headed to spend our day at the farm hanging out, shooting guns, getting 4 wheelers stuck, reading books, eating, chasing babies, and riding tracktors. Wes and Dave were shooting walnuts they threw in the pond.

note: ALL the boys always beg for a tracktor ride as soon as they hit the spill way to the farm. So S got her first tracktor ride yesterday and she wanted to drive it all by herself.

Jack gave sweet Huds a ride on his tracktor...he just put him in the trailer.

yummy pizza recipe

I had forgotten about this recipe until something sparked my memory at the grocery store. So Sunday night we had Al and Bert over to have dinner and watch football and I thought this was perfect. It was a HUGE hit!!!

pizza dough

ranch dressing (replaces red pizza sauce)

provolone cheese slices

pepperoni

shredded cheese

pepperoni

jalapenos

*You can add whatever topping you want: mushrooms, canadian bacon, hamburger, etc and then bake for about 15 minutes!!

SO EASY!!!

rock band party

Rock band party at Sean and Danielle's house last night for their belated birthdays! We used to play all the time so it was fun to go back at it. Dave and Wes raced each other and some car racing game!

Little miss got herself a new "walker thing" so we had to try it out. She can go backwards really well but not so much on the forward part yet.  

Scarlett was a party animal last night! She was in the best mood! She would just sit in the floor or in her walker (OR on my lap) and stare at everyone playing rock band. She would sway back and forth to the music, she got the moves!

She has this new tongue thing going on...she's getting 2 bottom teeth and rubs her tongue over them constantly.  Her eyes are closed because the flash was so bright.

snow days...

this is what snow days are all about! it has been so nice to have a little break from school. i've been cleaning, catching up on sewing, organizing, laying around, & playing with the dogs in the snow. oh and doing a little wedding preparing with mom. hemi loves the snow and lyla tolerates the snow.

hotel is booked

we booked our florida hotel today!!! we're staying here the night before we board our cruise ship and afterwards for a few days to hang out with westley's family.

8 weeks from tomorrow is when we leave...yippie 

it's that time of year

it's that time of year...where everywhere you look you see swim suits!!! we leave for our cruise in 8 weeks, crazy! i've got to get myself in shape. here are some of my favs. the end.

after church and lunch we came home so i could catch up on my chores while wes took a nap. oh the good life, ha. then tonight we headed to dad's for dinner.

lyla loves to chase golf balls at dad's. that's the only kind of 'toy' around his house. it's hilarious to see her try to catch it on the wood floors. 

hemi had the 'zoomies' and lyla chased behind him.  

best part of the night. apple dumplings. so delicious. they are kind hard and a pain in the rear to make. take forever to cook but so worth it.  

oh monday how i dread you...but i will make the best of you. bachelor night tomorrow night so that gives me something to look forward to.

Casino fun

Wes, me, Allison, and Bert decided late Friday afternoon to go to the casino and have a nice dinner, gamble, listen to the band, and just hang out.

We ran home after work to get ready then Al and Bert headed over to hang out before we took off to the casino for the night.

Dinner with the Dunks

Lastnight Wes and I went to the Dunk's house for dinner, dessert, and kinect fun! I made Adriel some pink frosted cookies with sprinkles, ha.

Phin was soooo excited and happy the entire night! He was in his little exersaucer and goin at it. Every time the cat would walk by he would get so worked up and giggle/scream and rock that thing everywhere. Poor little guy, he couldn't ever catch that cat. 

Adriel and I dressed up as "Cheerleader Princesses" and then she was a puppy dog. 

Break out the kinect....oh what fun! 

And oh what great entertainment! They were crackin' us up playing those games.

Of course the rest of us had to get on the action so we had a little battle. (Jason won BUT...he plays this EVERY SINGLE NIGHT) HA Then we chatted with Robbie and Erin for a second and then got Clay and Lindsey to finally answer and chatted with them AND Roman. He would just stare at himself on the t.v. screen. Then Clay and I had a "Dance Off" (I handed it to him)

We're going on a CRUISE!!!! I can't wait!!!

Wes, me, Mom, and Paul are all going on a cruise with my mom's WHOLE side of the family. It will be so much fun!!! 

My cousin, Dusty is getting married and we're all tagging along!!! :) 

 We have like 14 rooms booked total!!! It's going to be total craziness!!!

Wes nor I have ever been on a cruise so we are super excited to see what all the buzz is about!  

Great dinners, laying by the pool, comedy clubs, golf, casinos, room service, water park, and laying on the beach in the BAHAMAS!!!! 

ahhhhh.... I CAN NOT WAIT!!!
