oh snow day

oh snow day...i do love you but i've had enough snow and cold blistering weather.

it's official...the dogs do absolutely nothing during the day. hemi laid in the window just watching the snow.

oh! i made myself a cute little camera strap cover yesterday. it turned out pretty cute but i'm not done with it yet.  

enjoyed myself some yummy humus. this is the best.

so yesterday i slept in as long as i  possibly could, cleaned house, did all the laundry, cooked dinner, baked dessert, cleaned the kitchen after dinner, sewed some goodies, redecorated the house and just hung out. now today i'm getting kinda bored. wes is coming to get me so i can get out...going to lunch and getting my hair done, yippie.

Happy Day for Huds

Yesterday was Hudson's 2nd birthday at Fun City!!! He is obsessed with all things balls so Lauren made him a VERY fitting cake!

Look at scowl from the birthday boy. Just making sure mom wasn't messing with his cake.

Here is the true "wild child" or should I just say busy child. He would get up in that HUGE tube/slide/play thing and just stay for...a while.

He was scared to go down the slide so Claire gave him a little push..hilarious!!! His arms and legs were flailing everywhere and that look on his face was priceless. I couldn't ever catch him on camera, too fast.  

And then there was...big stuff. That's what she thought she was riding these little cars.  

She even got to test out the slide with mom, cute.  

Just hanging eating her shoes while everyone ate pizza and cake.  

beautiful january weather

farm day saturday...of course! the weather was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. yesterday so we had to take advantage of it! we headed to spend our day at the farm hanging out, shooting guns, getting 4 wheelers stuck, reading books, eating, chasing babies, and riding tracktors. Wes and Dave were shooting walnuts they threw in the pond.

nice job Dave...Wes had to winch him out. 

note: ALL the boys always beg for a tracktor ride as soon as they hit the spill way to the farm. So S got her first tracktor ride yesterday and she wanted to drive it all by herself.

Jack gave sweet Huds a ride on his tracktor...he just put him in the trailer.  

oh man. watch out.

I had forgotten about this recipe until something sparked my memory at the grocery store. So Sunday night we had Al and Bert over to have dinner and watch football and I thought this was perfect. It was a HUGE hit!!!

pizza dough

ranch dressing (replaces red pizza sauce)

provolone cheese slices

pepperoni

shredded cheese

pepperoni

jalapenos

*You can add whatever topping you want: mushrooms, canadian bacon, hamburger, etc and then bake for about 15 minutes!!

SO EASY!!!

rock band party

Rock band party at Sean and Danielle's house last night for their belated birthdays! We used to play all the time so it was fun to go back at it. Dave and Wes raced each other and some car racing game!

Little miss got herself a new "walker thing" so we had to try it out. She can go backwards really well but not so much on the forward part yet.  

Scarlett was a party animal last night! She was in the best mood! She would just sit in the floor or in her walker (OR on my lap) and stare at everyone playing rock band. She would sway back and forth to the music, she got the moves! 

Sean X 2 rocking out on the guitars, hilarious! 

She has this new tongue thing going on...she's getting 2 bottom teeth and rubs her tongue over them constantly.  Her eyes are closed because the flash was so bright.
